Patients sometimes need to be reminded to transmit their data. You can send patients a reminder directly using the Rhythm360 portal via SMS for any of the following:

  • Overdue reports (i.e. non-transmitting CIED patients)
  • Disconnected devices
  • Non-transmitting HF/HTN patients

Send an SMS patient reminder

An SMS reminder can be sent to a patient if they have a mobile phone number recorded in Rhythm360.

To send an SMS for overdue reports or disconnected devices:

  1. In the Rhythm360 portal, navigate to the Compliance Dashboard.
  2. Search for the patient you would like to send a reminder to by typing their name in the search bar, or scrolling through the compliance list.
  3. Click Actions > Contact Patient
  4. A new window will appear, displaying a preview of the message to be sent to the patient. Click Send SMS.

To send an SMS for non-transmitting HF/HTN patients:

1. Go to the Technician Dashboard.

2. Filter for non-transmittal HF/HTN alerts.

3. Click the Action button, then select Contact Patient.

4. When the pop-up window appears, click Send SMS.

View previously sent reminders

If you would like to see reminders sent to patients previously, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the patient's Compliance report and click Actions > View Patient Notes.
  2. A new window will appear, displaying a log of previously sent reminders. The log provides the date sent, the user who sent the reminder, and the message that was sent.

Here's how it would look like when the patient receives the message:

If the patient responds with anything other than "STOP," they will receive an auto-reply asking them to contact our Support team or their healthcare provider in case of a medical emergency. Responding with "STOP" will ensure they no longer receive these messages in the future. Additionally, if you attempt to contact a patient who has opted out of receiving SMS messages, a pop-up notification will appear, indicating that the patient has opted out.

Customizing SMS Messages

To customize messages, please submit a request to support@rhythmscienceinc.com and our Support team will modify the message content for your clinic.
