CIED Lead Management - How to add leads

Here's the process for adding a Lead Device to the patient's profile in the portal:

  1. Begin by navigating to the "Patient Information" page.

    From there, proceed to the "Manage Devices" section.

    In the "Data Type" selection, choose "Rhythm" to access the relevant data.

    Within the designated drop-down boxes, provide the necessary information for the following fields:

    • Device Type
    • Device Status
    • Lead Type
    • Lead Site
    • Vendor
    • Device Model
    • Date of Implant
    • Device Serial
  2. Once all the required information has been entered accurately, save your changes by clicking on the "Add New Lead" button.

These steps will ensure that the data is properly added and saved in the system.

Editing the Date of Implant

It's important to note that only the "Date of Implant" field can be edited.

To perform this action, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the "Patient Information" page.
  2. Select the "Leads" section.
  3. Locate the specific device for which you need to make changes and click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to it.
  4. From the dropdown menu, choose "Lead Settings."
  5. In the subsequent pop-up screen, click on the "Edit" option.
  6. Enter the updated date in the "Date of Implant" field.
  7. After making the necessary change, ensure to save your modifications by selecting the "Save" button.

Removing Lead

  1. Go to the "Patient Information" page.

    Select the "Leads" section.

    Locate the specific device for which you need to make changes and click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to it.

    Click on "Remove Lead"

    A pop-up screen will appear. Here, you have two options:

    • Select "Remove Lead" to proceed with the removal.
    • Choose "Cancel" if you wish to retain it.
  2. Leads can also be removed by accessing the "Lead Settings" option.
