Setting Up User Types and Permissions
User Types
User Types act like roles, they allow or restrict you from taking certain actions. They can be accessed by going to Settings -> User Types Tab (note, not all users have the ability to manage user types).
By default, there are 5 standard user types:
- Technician
- Clinician
- E-Signer
- Biller
- Admin
If your organization chooses, custom user types can be created - more details regarding individual permissions can be found below.
A few notes:
- Default user types can have their permissions updated; however, they cannot be entirely removed
- Updating permissions for existing user types will impact all users currently assigned that user tpye
- Custom user types cannot be deleted if it is assigned to a user
