Aveir Devices

Aveir devices are treated as special devices in Rhythm360. Aveir devices are added as Leads in Rhythm360. A patient with paired Aveir leads will have one report that lists battery information for both leads.

How to Add Aveir Leads

To add an Aveir Lead:

1. Go to the Patient Detail page and click on the Manage Devices button
2. In the Manage Devices modal, click the Leads tab
3. From the Device Status dropdown menu, select Active
4. From the Lead Type dropdown menu, select Right Atrial or Right Ventricular
5. From the Lead Site dropdown menu, select the lead site accordingly
6. From the Vendor dropdown menu, select Abbott
7. From the Device Model dropdown menu, select the Aveir device model
8. Enter the date of implant
9. Enter the device serial number
10. click the Add New Lead button

Once a single Aveir Lead has been added, the Aveir Device is automatically created with information about the Aveir Lead just created.

Two added Aveir leads will automatically pair together and create a single Aveir device.

How to Edit an Aveir Lead

You can edit the Device Serial numbers for an Aveir Lead.

1. Go to the Patient Detail page and click on the Manage Devices button
2. In the Manage Devices modal, click the Leads tab
3. For the Aveir lead you want to edit, click the Edit Device Details button
4. Edit the Device Serial number and click Save

How to Unlink Aveir Leads

To change out or remove a paired Aveir device, unlink the Aveir lead from the device. To unlink the Aveir lead from the device

1. Go to the Patient Detail page and click on the Manage Devices button
2. In the Manage Devices modal, click the Leads tab
3. Click the Unlink Lead button under the lead you want to unlink from the device
4. Click the Unlink button in the Unlink Lead pop-up

Aveir Device Reports

A report from a paired Aveir device will display both devices’ battery longevities and individual battery alerts.

For a paired device, you can change the parameters for each individual device by going to the Aveir device report > Parameters.

How to Deactivate an Aveir Device

You can deactivate an Aveir device as you would deactivate any other device.

1. Go to the Patient Detail page and click on the Manage Devices button
2. Select the Devices tab and click the Deactivate Device button for the Aveir device
3. Select a reason for deactivation in the Deactivate Device pop-up
4. Click the Deactive Device button
